The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), in partnership with Acadia University’s School of Counselling, is pleased to offer EDUCATION 5553: Topics in Counselling – Counselling Supervision: Theory and Practice.
This master’s-level graduate course has been developed for experienced practitioners who wish to strengthen their clinical supervision knowledge and skills while advancing their professional practice.

Registration Fees
Students are responsible for paying the tuition and applicable graduate student fees established by Acadia University at the time of registration.
Who Should Apply
Eligible applicants must:
- Be a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) in good standing with CCPA, or non-certified CCPA professional members holding a regulated title
- Have a minimum of five years of clinical counselling or psychotherapy experience (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Be actively engaged in a supervisory role (providing supervision to counsellors-in-training or practising counsellors).
- Have no active ethical complaints under investigation.
- Hold professional liability insurance.
If space permits, certified members of another professional association or regulatory college with equivalent ethical and professional standards may also be considered.

Limited Enrollment
Enrollment is limited to 23 students, with a minimum enrollment of 17 students required for the course to proceed.

CCPA will review applicants against the eligibility requirements and provide Acadia University with the list of eligible participants.
The deadline for CCPA to submit eligible participants to Acadia University is August 5th, 2026.
