In order to become certified with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, you must hold a graduate degree in counselling or a related professional field and meet the CCPA’s certification criteria.
Graduates from universities outside of North America will need to apply for Canadian equivalency through third party evaluation such as WES (http://www.wes.org) or ICES (http://www.bcit.ca/ices/). You must obtain the comprehensive equivalency report. Once you have completed the equivalency, you can apply to our association for certification.
