CCPA is committed to recognizing and supporting a variety of national and international special days and weeks throughout the year by distributing press releases to media acknowledging these important events.  Often, a press release results in a CCPA expert spokesperson being interviewed on radio, television or in print. This allows CCPA to raise awareness of topics impacting the profession while at the same time promoting the services available from counsellors and psychotherapists and sharing useful resources such as the association’s “Talking Can Help” website to help those with mental health problems or illness.  Click here to access CCPA’s press releases.  This section also includes relevant and supported press releases issued by national groups to which CCPA belongs (such as the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health) or other organizations (such as the Mental Health Commission of Canada).
