\nI have favourite bloggers whose work I regularly read and enjoy.\u00a0\u00a0 The bloggers are friends, counsellors, writers, lawyers, artists, students, teachers, business leaders, coaches,\u2026the list goes on.\u00a0\u00a0 They come from a variety of age groups and I find the writers to be creative, inspiring, fun, humorous, playful, and thought-provoking.<\/p>\n

As I read I often find posts that I think are worth sharing with clients.\u00a0\u00a0 The response when I have done so has invariably been positive. Some clients have then shared the posts with others.\u00a0\u00a0 Which tells me it\u2019s hit a chord.<\/p>\n

In sharing these posts with clients I am careful to state that my sharing is not meant as a wholehearted endorsement of everything on the site.\u00a0\u00a0 I share what I think is relevant and I let clients know why I think this might be relevant for them to read.<\/p>\n

Here are a few of my favourites:<\/p>\n

This mother talks about how one sentence changed the way she interacts with her family.\u00a0\u00a0 It is a post that I have often thought about, referred back to and shared.<\/p>\n

The six words? \u201cI love to watch you play\u201d

\nThis post is about eliminating the word \u201cbusy\u201d from our vocabulary. The author\u2019s friend tried to live without using the word \u201cbusy\u201d for a year! I am much more conscious of my own use of the word now.\u00a0\u00a0 It has also proven useful for some clients who struggle with \u2018busyness\u2019 and wanting to achieve a better life-work balance.

On a more serious note, when I am working with clients who were raised in dysfunctional family systems I often share this post which calls into question the phrase \u201cthey did the best they could\u201d.\u00a0 http:\/\/guesswhatnormalis.com\/2011\/02\/who-says-our-dysfunctional-parents-did-they-best-they-could\/<\/a><\/p>\n

And, of course, anything by Anne Lamott is wonderful as far as I am concerned. She is an amazing writer.<\/p>\n
