That led her to shift her psychiatry practice, and found the Ruthless Compassion Institute to focus on the &#8220;nice versus kind&#8221; conundrum.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;People go to extremes in how they deal with themselves and each other,&#8221; Marcia told Career Buzz listeners (<a href=\"http:\/\/careercycles.com\/facing-the-world-with-ruthless-compassion-and-mastery-over-uncertainty?inf_contact_key=3dbd7301cf7ecb02a04c0589060a52cc433a61a61810672ba3637a93e0592b1f\" target=\"_blank\">May 13, 2015<\/a>). &#8220;They&#8217;re either too hard or too easy on themselves. And when dealing with each other they&#8217;re too tolerant of mistreatment, or too aggressive.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How the clues apply to you<\/strong>: Marcia&#8217;s fresh perspective is finding balance between these two opposing points of view.
