He\u2019s been going full tilt ever since. The journeys that followed have taken him to every corner of the planet, from Everest to Arabia, Ethiopia\u2019s Blue Nile Gorge to the rivers of the Arctic. Bruce has ridden horses across Mongolia and camels across Arabia\u2019s legendary Empty Quarter. His account of that journey, &#8216;Sand Dance, By Camel Across Arabia\u2019s Great Southern Desert&#8217; was published in 2000.&#8221; Now with a family and two children, and based in Kimberley, BC, Bruce travels less and writes more, including his weekly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/life\/travel\/news-and-trends\/bruce-kirkby\/\" target=\"_blank\">Globe and Mail column<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hi, I\u2019m Mark Franklin, practice leader of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.careercycles.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">CareerCycles<\/a>, a career management <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Social_enterprise\" target=\"_blank\">social enterprise<\/a> in Toronto, producer\/host of weekly<a href=\"http:\/\/www.careercycles.com\/career-buzz\" target=\"_blank\"> Career Buzz radio show<\/a>, and new blogger here at CCPA.
