CCPA has provided two $500 awards to students in support of their attendance at the CCPA annual conference. Both awards recipients must attend the full conference.
Eligibility: Applicants must be CCPA Student Members currently enrolled as students in a counselling program.
Application: Applicants are required to provide a current CV and a covering letter addressing the following points:
Current and past involvement with CCPA (include your CCPA Student Membership number)
Current program of studies, areas of interest, research plan
Confirmation of desire and plan to attend next CCPA Annual Conference
Contact information including E-mail address
NOTE: Successful applicants will be introduced at the conference.
Deadline: Applications must be received at the CCPA National Office on or before December 15.
Review Process: A CCPA panel will review applications. Criteria for evaluation will include merit of individual applications as well as regional distribution of awards where possible. CCPA will notify successful and unsuccessful applicants immediately upon completion of the review.
CCPA/Marsh Student Bursary Award
Marsh, the CCPA professional liability insurance broker of choice, has provided two $500 awards to support graduate students research in Counselling.
Eligibility: Applicants must be CCPA Student Members currently enrolled as student in a Canadian graduate counselling program.
Application: Applicants are required to provide by mail a brief summary of their research proposal, a letter of approval of their University’s ethics committee, a current CV and a covering letter addressing the following points:
Current and past involvement with CCPA (include your CCPA Student Membership number)
Current program of studies,
Up to date official transcript demonstrating academic excellence
Two letters of recommendation, one of which is from the research supervisor

Deadline: Applications must be received at the CCPA National Office on or before December 15 of each year. Successful applicants will be announced at the CCPA National Conference, the following Spring.
Review Process: A CCPA panel will review applications. Criteria for evaluation will include merit of the research proposal for the field of counselling and of individual applications. CCPA will notify successful and unsuccessful applicants immediately upon completion of the review. This will be within four weeks of closing the competition.

The Career Development Chapter is offering a bursary of $300 toward attending the following conferences: the annual CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association) conference or the annual NATCON conference. For more information click here.
