Graduate Programs

In order to become certified with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, you must hold a graduate degree in counselling or a related professional field from an AUCC recognized Canadian educational institution (or from a regionally accredited institution in the United States) and meet the CCPA’s certification criteria.

For your convenience, CCPA has put together a list of Canadian Masters-level Counselling Programs from AUCC-recognized or regionally-accredited institutions. If you are looking for programs related to counselling, we have compiled a list of Masters-level Counselling-related Programs.

If you have met some requirements for certification but require additional qualification(s), or if you are a certified member wishing to gain further qualification(s), CCPA has put together a list of graduate-level Certificate and Diploma Programs in Counselling and Related Fields.

Please note that these links are provided as a resource to help you in your search; CCPA does not guarantee certification following the completion of any of these programs and it's your responsibility to be sure that you meet the requirements for certification. However, please note that graduates from programs accredited by CCPA's Council on Accreditation of Counsellor Education Programs (CACEP) are eligible to be considered for fast-tracked certification procedures.
